JORDAN FARGO
Jordan has been a member of Excel since May 2025, when he moved back to
Long Island from North Carolina. He started swimming at the age of six for the
Maria
Regina Sea Angels CYO team, and has been swimming competitively ever since.
Jordan swam for several summer, club, and high school teams, including the
Forest
City Flyers, Long Island Express, and St. Anthony’s High School. He set multiple
school
records at General Douglas MacArthur High School before transferring to St.
Anthony’s,
where he was a two-time New York State Championship qualifier in the 100 back.
Jordan achieved an NCSA Spring Junior National cut time in 2017 for the 100
back, and swam
for the club swim team at Cornell University for all four years. He started
coaching during his
sophomore year while he was co-captain of the club swim team during the
2019-2020 season.
Following a two year break from swimming after graduating from Cornell, Jordan
hopped back in the pool and is now very thankful to be a part of Excel Swimming.
He specializes in backstroke and is very excited to help coach his awesome
teammates.
Jordan studied English and Film at Cornell and is a 2x published children’s book
author,
with three more books currently in production. He works as a freelance
copywriter and
content marketer for several advertising agencies and technology companies.
In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting and spending time with his new puppy
Jax.
